What is Phoenix in Blox Fruits?
Phoenix, formerly Bird: Phoenix, is a Legendary Beast fruit built around fire, flight and healing. Unawakened it can transform into a full phoenix for 15% damage reduction and free flight, and its X move heals you and any nearby player, ally or not.
Awakening unlocks a real M1 and a second moveset, with Z leaving burning ground, C grabbing and slamming enemies, and F letting you rain fire while flying. It costs 18,500 Fragments to fully awaken, making it the second hardest fruit in the game to awaken behind
Dough, and it needs its own raid chip bought from the Sick Scientist rather than the usual Mysterious Scientist chip.
Phoenix took some of the harshest nerfs of any fruit early on and still shows the scars: slow moves, small hitboxes compared to their visuals, and short range. The August 2026 balance patch buffed its awakened M1, Z and X, pushing it into a solid mid tier pick valued for mobility and sustain rather than raw damage.

Strengths 6
- X heals you and any nearby player, ally or not, better than most other healing moves.
- Free flight in both unawakened and awakened forms with strong mobility.
- August 2026 buffs raised awakened M1, Z damage and cut X's energy cost by 40%.
- Excellent against Terrorsharks and other Sea Events thanks to wide AoE and lingering flames.
- One of the few fruits with a ranged M1 once awakened.
- Can transform without needing a fury meter, unlike many other Beast fruits.
What players sayThe August 2026 buffs to its awakened M1, Z and X pushed Phoenix into a solid mid tier pick in 2026, valued more for healing, mobility and Sea Event support than for raw PvP damage.
Weaknesses 6
- Awakening costs 18,500 Fragments, the second most expensive in the game.
- Many moves have hitboxes much smaller than their visuals suggest.
- Slow attacks and short range make it a below-average pure damage dealer.
- Transformation cancels automatically below 33% health or energy, which can strand you mid-fight.
- Weak against fast, evasive opponents since most moves need good prediction.
- Its own Phoenix Raid needs its own chip system separate from most other fruits.
How to use Phoenix well
- 01
Use X Regeneration Flames on your team during raids and Sea Events, since it heals any nearby player, not just yourself.
- 02
Hold awakened F and stop mid-air over enemies to rain fire ticks down for AFK-style farming.
Grinding - 03
Chain awakened C
Combo
Flame Exodus into your M1 for extra damage after the slam. - 04
Watch your health and energy bars closely; dropping below 33% untransforms you automatically, even mid-combo.
Defense - 05
Awakened F Swift Flight is strong against Terrorsharks since it hits while you fly overhead.
Grinding - 06
Buy the Phoenix raid chip from the Sick Scientist at Sea of Treats; after your first purchase you can also buy it from the Mysterious Scientist.
