What is Pain in Blox Fruits?
Pain, formerly called Paw, is a Legendary Natural fruit built around emotion rather than an element. It turns damage you take and Pain Ghosts you collect into extra power, and every move has a tap and a held version, more variants than any other fruit.
Its biggest feature is Last Stand: once your health hits zero, you get a second life with 60% less damage taken, much faster cooldowns and nearly double M1 damage, as long as you kill a player before the timer runs out or you die for good. Landing that kill resets everything, which lets a skilled Pain user snowball a whole fight.
Pain has an Admin Panel upgrade path instead of a Raids awakening, costing 500 mastery and 19,000 Fragments plus rare materials to fully unlock. Guides in 2026 still call it a top pick for PvP and bounty hunting, with grinding value that depends on knowing its combos well.

How to get Pain
Other ways to get it
Unlock four upgrades at the Admin Panel: a longer Last Stand, a held F explosion, heat-seeking Z ghosts, and a chargeable held C beam.
Needs: Mastery levels 200, 300, 400 and 500Trade for a physical Pain if you would rather not roll for it at the Dealer.
Needs: A player who owns a physical PainPain passives
Fills as you take damage and absorb Pain Ghosts. A full meter buffs your M1 damage, cuts skill cooldowns by roughly 23% and boosts your speed for a minute.
Instead of dying you enter a berserk second life: 60% less damage taken, 60% shorter cooldowns, nearly double M1 damage and faster movement. Only Pain moves work, your health slowly drains, and you must kill a player within 30 seconds (60 if upgraded) or die for real.
A missed move spawns a Pain
Ghost you can absorb to fill your Pain Meter and instantly reset F's cooldown. Ghosts always break Instinct on contact with an enemy.
Pain moves and mastery
Two hook punches and an uppercut into a barrage that knocks the enemy far away. In Last Stand the whole combo gets bigger hitboxes, more speed and a hard stun.
Breaks Instinct: Cannot break itTapped, fires an exploding Pain
Ghost; upgraded, it spawns extra ghosts around the hit. Held, it fires a shrinking barrage of ghosts instead.
Tapped, dashes in and grabs the target for a short combo. Held, it grabs them, lifts them and drags them with an energy beam to wherever you aim.
Breaks Instinct: Only the held beam breaks itTapped, launches a ball of energy that drags enemies in before exploding. Held, once upgraded, unleashes a huge beam from a roaring Pain Ghost that pulls and stuns anyone hit.
Breaks Instinct: The held beam always breaks itTapped, fires a single-target ball that deals rapid tick damage and distorts the enemy's screen. Held, it grows into a bigger, slower ball with even higher total tick damage.
Breaks Instinct: Always breaks itTapped, a long dash forward whose cooldown resets on collecting a Pain Ghost. Held, once upgraded, launches you into the air before a dash that summons four Pain Ghosts either way.

Strengths 6
- Last Stand gives you a real second life with huge buffs if you can land a kill.
- Every move has both a tap and a held version, more variants than any other fruit.
- Most moves have long range and hit multiple targets.
- Pain Ghosts from missed moves instantly refill F for extra mobility.
- A full Pain Meter cuts skill cooldowns by about 23% and buffs your M1.
- V's tick damage makes it one of the best Instinct-break tools in the game.
What players sayPain remains a top-tier PvP and bounty-hunting fruit in 2026, prized for its Last Stand comeback mechanic and long-range pressure, though it takes real practice to use its tap-and-hold movesets well.
Weaknesses 6
- High mastery requirements, and the Admin Panel upgrades need even more.
- Every move leaves you open if you hold it too long.
- Needs precise long-range aim to land consistently.
- Last Stand locks you into only Pain moves and kills you if you fail to get a kill in time.
- Weak in the air across the whole moveset.
- You cannot Race Awaken once Last Stand has already triggered.
How to use Pain well
- 01
Use tapped V Torturing Pulse to guarantee an Instinct break through its tick damage, even against sword and gun users.
PvP - 02
Follow up a grab from X Rage Release with C Agony Nuke while the target is still stunned.
Combo - 03
If your health hits zero, focus everything on securing one kill fast: Last Stand ends in death if you don't.
Defense - 04
Absorb Pain Ghosts from missed moves whenever you can; they refill your Pain Meter and instantly reset F.
- 05
Do not hold Z Fury Jab past 3 to 4 seconds, since its speed and damage drop off the longer you hold it.
PvP - 06
For grinding, chain M1s into a dash-M1 loop, or a fuller combo of X, C and Z, rather than relying on M1 alone.
