What is T-Rex in Blox Fruits?

T-Rex is a Mythical Beast fruit that turns you into a bone-covered Tyrannosaurus. Unlike most transformation fruits it has a real M1 even untransformed, and its Fury Meter has to fill up over about 90 seconds before you can transform at all.

Once transformed you hit much harder, take up to 43% less damage (55% against NPCs) and mark anyone you damage with Prey Mark: a bleed that hits harder the farther the target runs, so running from a T-Rex in PvP actually hurts more. Fast-executing moves and Prey Mark's area damage also make it a strong farming fruit.

It costs the same as its rival Mammoth and guides still rate it a solid, reliable pick for both grinding and PvP rather than a top meta fruit, prized for hitting hard without needing much setup.

Is T-Rex good?

Strengths 6

  • Has a real M1 even before transforming, unlike most transformation fruits.
  • Transformed damage reduction reaches 43% against players and 55% against NPCs.
  • Prey Mark punishes runners with tick damage that scales with distance.
  • Fast-executing moves make it strong for farming NPCs and Sea Beasts.
  • Most moves break Instinct and have destructible physics.
  • Same low price as Mammoth, with a slightly higher trade value.
What players say

T-Rex stays a dependable mid-to-high tier fruit in 2026: heavy hits, good farming speed and a Prey Mark that punishes runners, without being a flashy top-meta pick.

Weaknesses 6

  • Needs a full Fury Meter, about 90 seconds, before you can transform.
  • Weak against airborne enemies in both forms.
  • Cannot use swords, guns or fighting styles while transformed.
  • Every move can still be Instinct-dodged if the enemy reads it.
  • Short range on several moves, especially C Hunter's Rage.
  • Movement speed boost while transformed is smaller than fruits like Kitsune or Tiger.

How to use T-Rex well

  1. 01

Land any hit to apply Prey Mark, then let them run: the tick damage gets worse the farther away they go.

    PvP
  2. 02

Open with X Predatory Screech to pull the target in, then chain into C Hunter's Rage.

    Combo
  3. 03

Use transformed M1 to farm NPCs and regenerate your Fury Meter at the same time.

    Grinding
  4. 04

Untransform with V before switching to a sword or gun, since T-Rex locks those out while transformed.

  5. 05

Watch your Fury Meter in a fight: using moves or taking damage while transformed drains it, so it can run out mid-fight.

    PvP
  6. 06

Pairing Prey Mark with Portal's V or C teleports lets the tick damage keep hurting an enemy who thinks they escaped.

Did you know?

T-Rex was requested by players since Update 7, long before it was actually added.

It costs exactly the same as Mammoth and the two are considered rivals.

T-Rex is one of only three fruits with a Fury or Power Meter, alongside Venom and Dragon.

Its M1 does not trigger the game's suspicious-kill warning, unlike most other fast M1 fruits.
