What is Mammoth in Blox Fruits?
Mammoth is a Mythical Beast fruit that turns you into an armored mammoth. Untransformed you fight with shadow-mammoth strikes and have no basic attack, which makes it awkward but hard for opponents to predict if you know the moveset well.
Transformed is where the fruit shines: you get a real M1 combo, 50% damage reduction (58.75% against NPCs), bigger jumps and no need for a meter to transform, unlike
T-Rex. F Stampede can be held indefinitely and cannot be interrupted, which makes it great against Sea Beasts and Sea Events, especially with the Shark race.
It is often compared to T-Rex, its rival fruit at the same price. Mammoth only has 7% more defense in return for giving up a passive and an untransformed M1, but the August 2026 balance patch gave it a straight 10% damage buff and faster dashes, and guides now call it a strong, easy budget pick.

How to get Mammoth
Other ways to get it
Trade for a physical Mammoth if you would rather skip the Dealer roll.
Needs: A player who owns a physical MammothMammoth passives
Jumping while transformed does not damage on the way up, but the landing creates a damaging crater. This only happens on your first jump; later jumps in the air are normal height.
Mammoth moves and mastery
A dark mammoth-shaped shadow stomps the ground, sending three large red strikes far forward.
Breaks Instinct: Only up closeA shadow mammoth bolts to the aimed spot, its head jabbing the target and launching them upward.
Breaks Instinct: Cannot break itDashes forward like X, but slams the target down hard on contact instead of launching them.
Breaks Instinct: The slam breaks itTurns you into the armored mammoth with a thunderous roar and red energy waves.
Breaks Instinct: The roar breaks itPounces into the air and crashes down for a big crater. Holding it longer roughly doubles the distance.
Breaks Instinct: Rarely dodgedA four-hit combo: two trunk slaps, a stomp, then a wrathful roar. Skipping the roar or chaining straight into another move avoids the combo's cooldown.
Breaks Instinct: Only the roar breaks itSix strikes in two wider sets aimed at a single enemy; a second set of hits on the same target does much less damage.
Breaks Instinct: Only up closeBolts forward and launches the target high with heavy damage and almost no startup.
Breaks Instinct: Cannot break itDarts forward and crashes the target into the ground for very high damage, with only light knockback so it chains into M1s well.
Breaks Instinct: Rarely dodgedReverts to human form, blowing the armor away in a red wind wave.
Breaks Instinct: No damageLunges and drags up to 5 enemies with continuous damage for as long as you hold it, and cannot be interrupted once it starts.

Strengths 6
- Transformed, you get 50% damage reduction and no meter needed to transform.
- Damage was buffed 10% across the board in the August 2026 patch.
- Stampede cannot be interrupted and can be held indefinitely, great against Sea Beasts.
- Cheaper than most Mythical fruits and easy to use well without heavy setup.
- Untransformed moves are unpredictable to opponents who don't know the fruit.
- Big AoE on the transformed M1 makes grinding fast.
What players sayThe August 2026 balance patch pushed Mammoth up as a budget-friendly, low-setup fruit: strong transformed damage and a stampede that cannot be stopped, even if it still trails
T-Rex in raw defense.
Weaknesses 6
- No M1 at all until you transform.
- Untransformed has poor combo potential and high end-lag.
- Movement speed drops while transformed, and your large body is easy to hit.
- Every transformed move can be Instinct-tricked.
- Only 7% more defense than T-Rex despite giving up more offense.
- High mastery requirements before the moveset opens up.
How to use Mammoth well
- 01
Pair Mammoth with the Shark race and hold F Stampede on Sea Events; it is slow but very hard for them to escape.
Grinding - 02
Transform with V before a fight starts, since it disables your fighting style, sword and gun while active.
- 03
Open combos with transformed C Colossal Crusher, since its light knockback lets you chain straight into M1.
PvP - 04
Turn off Camera Shake in settings so the landing crater from Prehistoric Leap does not throw off your aim.
Grinding - 05
Only switch to Mammoth once you are near max level, since its mastery requirements are steep for a newer character.
- 06
After the four-hit M1 combo, chain straight into Z, X or a held F within half a second to skip the combo's cooldown.

Did you know?
Mammoth and
T-Rex cost exactly the same and are considered rival fruits.
It is the third fruit that transforms without needing a meter, after
Phoenix and
Tiger.
Its fruit model looks nothing like its icon or transformation: a purple cloth fruit that turns into dark, spiked armor.
Jumping while transformed can reset your air jumps, which players use to skip touching water safely.
