Key takeaways
- The Laboratory replaced the Rift Trade-In Machine in Update 6. You hand in stolen eggs directly, no hatching needed.
- Three banners, five pets each: Biohazard, Experimental and Unstable DNA. Only one is live at a time.
- Every pull fills a pity bar. A full bar (100 in most guides) always gives the banner's top pet, and it carries over.
- Unstable DNA has the best top pet, a Divine, but needs eggs from Angels & Demons (20B Speed).
- The drop odds are secret. Plan around the pity, not around luck.
What the Laboratory is
Update 6 swapped the old Rift Trade-In Machine for Dr. Scramble’s Laboratory. The idea is the same (turn things you have into a chance at exclusive pets) but the Lab is simpler: you hand in eggs you have stolen, not pets you have hatched. Each hand-in is a pull on whichever banner is live.
It is the only way to get its 15 pets. None of them spawn in a biome nest.
The three banners
Only one banner is live at a time, and the timer is shared by every server. Each banner takes eggs from certain biomes and has five pets, from a Mythic up to its top pet.
Biohazard
Takes eggs from Prehistoric, Cosmic and Cherry Blossom. Its top pet is the Eternal Nuclear Mantis at 1.5B/s.

How pity works
Every pull adds to a pity bar. When the bar is full, the next reward is always the banner’s top pet. Update 6 made this a real guarantee; before, a full bar gave a random pet from the top three.
The actual drop chance of each pet is not shown in the game and nobody has published reliable numbers. That makes the pity the only thing you can plan around: if the bar is 100, the top pet costs at most 100 pulls.
Which banner should you run?
- Early (below 700M Speed): you cannot feed any banner well yet. Spend your eggs on hatching instead.
- Mid (700M to 20B Speed): Biohazard and Experimental. Their Eternal top pets are big upgrades for most bases.
- Endgame (20B+ Speed): Unstable DNA for the Divine Octophant.
Because pity carries over, it is fine to pull whatever banner is live and keep filling the bar.
Getting more out of your eggs
- Dr. Scramble’s Mecha fight (every 30 minutes) pays Samples for the Experiment Shop, and each win counts toward the 100-win Boss Mastery track with free pets along the way.
- Night resets make eggs grow 30 times faster for 10 seconds, so time your runs to have eggs ready.
- Admin abuse on Saturdays boosts luck and egg spawns. It is the best time to stock up on eggs for the Lab.
Is the Laboratory worth it?
Yes, once you can feed a banner without starving your own base. The top pets are among the best in the game, the pity means every pull counts, and you never lose progress. Just do not trade away the eggs your base needs to keep earning: income is what gets you the Speed to feed the better banners.
Questions
What is the pity in the Steal An Egg Laboratory?
Most guides say 100 pulls since Update 6, down from 200; one still says 200. A full bar always gives the banner's top pet.
Does Laboratory pity reset when the banner changes?
No. Pity carries over when you leave the game or the banner rotates.
Which Laboratory banner is best?
Unstable DNA, whose top pet is the Divine Octophant. Biohazard and Experimental top out at Eternal pets. Unstable DNA needs eggs from Angels & Demons, so it is endgame only.
Do I need to hatch eggs before the Laboratory?
No. Since Update 6 you hand in eggs directly, which saves the hatch time.
