How the Index works

Every biome in Steal An Egg has an Index: a list of all the pets that hatch there. Hatch each of them at least once and the Index is complete. Any size and any colour counts, so a tiny plain pet fills its slot just as well as a giant Rainbow one.

Completing a biome’s Index unlocks that biome’s bat. Each bat hits 10% harder, ragdolls players 10% longer and reaches further than the one before, which matters for knocking thieves out of your base and for boss fights. Here is every biome in order with the Speed you need and the bat its Index gives:

The pets you can hatch from each biome’s nests, in the order you unlock the biomes. Click a biome name for its full page with spawn info, or a pet for its income at every size.

Update 7: the Enchanted Forest

Update 7 (October 3, 2026) added the Enchanted Forest, the newest biome past Angels & Demons. You need about 50B Speed to get in. It adds 8 pets. Five names appear in several guides: Prism Gecko, Petal Beetle, Enchanted Bluejay, Astral Jackalope and Starry Fox. Two more, Spirit Panda and Amethyst Runebear, come from a single guide, and the eighth has not been named yet.

Their rarities and incomes were not published on launch day, so we do not list numbers for them yet. They will join the lists above as soon as they are confirmed. Everything else about the update, from the Wisp quest to Enchanted Essence, is on our Enchanted Forest page.

Limited pets: eggs, events and the Lab

These pets do not hatch from biome nests. They come from Robux eggs in the shop, events, Dr. Scramble’s Lab, the Rift Machine and fusion, and many are only available for a limited time. They include the highest earners in the game.

Rarity tiers

How many pets each rarity has and the income range inside it. Higher rarity usually means more income, but the ranges overlap, so always check a pet’s own number.

Base income is before size and colour. A pet’s weight can multiply its income many times over; work out any pet’s real income with the weight calculator.

How to complete your Index faster

1. Push your Speed first. Each biome needs more Speed than the last; the progression guide shows the treadmill and trail to buy at every step.
2. Finish one biome at a time. Its bat helps you defend your base and steal more, which speeds up the next biome.
3. Watch the nests. Rare pets come from rare eggs; the spawn times page shows when they appear, and all Steal An Egg eggs shows what each egg can hatch.
4. Use admin abuse. Admin abuse boosts your luck, so rare eggs are easier to get; the countdown shows the next one.
5. Do not buy pets for real money. There is no trading in Steal An Egg, so anyone selling pets is selling an account or running a scam.
