The short answer
There are four real ways to get a godly in Murder Mystery 2:
- Open shop boxes with coins, diamonds or Mystery Keys. Each box has a 0.2% (1 in 500) chance of a godly.
- Play events. Halloween, Christmas, Summer and Valentine’s events give godlies through quests, event currency and event passes.
- Craft the few items made by crafting, such as the Seer line.
- Trade for them, once you are level 10.
The 11 shop boxes and their godlies
Every box in the shop costs 1,000 coins, 100 diamonds or 1 Mystery Key. Each one has one godly and its chroma:

The real drop odds
The game shows the drop chance of every item in a box. For the regular boxes:

What that means in coins: you get up to 40 coins a round (50 with the Elite game pass), so one 1,000-coin box takes at least 25 rounds. At 1 in 500, a godly takes 500 boxes on average, so coins alone are a long grind. That is why most players get godlies from events and trading.
Diamonds can only be bought with Robux: a box costs 100, and a Mystery Key, which opens any regular box, costs 125.
Events: the best free route
Events give godlies without Robux. In the Summer Event 2026 (July 23 to August 23), daily and weekly quests paid Shells for the Summer Box. Halloween events use Candies and an event pass with a godly at the top. Last year’s Halloween pass ended with Raygun for 90,000 candies. Event godlies cannot be unboxed once the event ends, so they become trade only and usually rise in value.

Trading for a godly
From level 10 you can trade with any player. Godlies from boxes are the most common, so they are the easiest to trade for. How to get Icewing, Harvester, Corrupt and other rare items
- Icewing and Batwing: trade only. They were 2,499 Robux game passes in the 2018 events and are off sale.
- Harvester: trade only. It was the top Halloween 2021 event reward.
- Icepiercer: trade only. It was the top Christmas 2022 event reward.
- Corrupt: trade only. It was given to players who lost data in 2014, and it is the only Unique you can trade.
- Gemstone: still in Mystery Box 1.
