Where the rarest pets came from
Almost every pet at the top came from one of two places:
- Limited events. The Shadow Dragon and Evil Unicorn came from the Candy Trading Shop in the 2019 Halloween event, and the Bat Dragon from the same event. Once the event ended, nobody could get a new one.
- Retired eggs. The Owl and Crow hatched from the Farm Egg in 2019, the Parrot from the Jungle Egg and the Turtle from the Aussie Egg in 2020. Those eggs are gone, so these pets are now trade only.
Why they keep getting rarer
When a pet leaves the game, no new copies are made. At the same time, players keep combining four pets into a Neon and four Neons into a Mega Neon. Every Mega Neon uses up 16 normal pets, so the number of plain copies of an old legendary only goes down year after year. That is why our score raises a pet’s value the longer it has been gone.

Why are old Adopt Me pets so rare?
When an egg or event leaves the game, no new copies of its pets are made. Players keep turning four of them into a Neon and four Neons into a Mega Neon, so the number of normal copies only goes down.
