Key takeaways

  • A Mega Neon takes 16 pets of the same kind: 4 Full Grown pets make 1 Neon, and 4 Luminous Neons make 1 Mega Neon.
  • You fuse them in the Neon Cave. Every pet must be the same kind and fully grown first.
  • Neons grow again through their own six ages, from Reborn to Luminous, before they can become a Mega Neon.
  • Only one of the four pets needs Fly or Ride: the Neon keeps it, which saves buying potions.
  • Every pet page on BloxStonks has a planner that counts what you still need for a Neon or Mega Neon.

The short answer: 16 pets

A Mega Neon is the most glowing form a pet can have, and it takes 16 pets of the same kind:

  1. Raise 4 pets of the same kind to Full Grown.
  2. Fuse them in the Neon Cave to get 1 Neon.
  3. Do that 4 times, and raise each Neon to Luminous.
  4. Fuse the 4 Luminous Neons into 1 Mega Neon.

Every pet page on BloxStonks has a Neon and Mega Neon planner: type how many full grown pets you have and it tells you what you still need. Try it on the Shadow Dragon or any pet in the pet list.

Step 1: Raise four pets to Full Grown

A pet grows through six ages by doing its tasks. Each age teaches it a new trick:

Age Normal pet Neon pet
1 Newborn Reborn
2 Junior Twinkle
3 Pre-Teen Sparkle
4 Teen Flare
5 Post-Teen Sunshine
6 Full Grown Luminous

All four pets must be the same kind (four Frost Dragons, not two Frost Dragons and two Owls) and all four must be Full Grown.

Step 2: Make a Neon in the Neon Cave

Take your four Full Grown pets to the Neon Cave and fuse them. You get one Neon pet, which glows and starts again at the first Neon age, Reborn.

Step 3: Raise four Neons to Luminous

A Neon grows through its own six ages, shown in the table above, from Reborn to Luminous. You need four Luminous Neons of the same kind, which means repeating steps 1 and 2 four times.

Step 4: Fuse the Mega Neon

Fuse your four Luminous Neons and you get a Mega Neon: the rarest form of that pet, with a colour-shifting glow.

How to make it faster

  • Free potions. Age-Up Potions and Tiny Age Potions come free from rewards such as the friendship bar and pet age-ups. Use them on the pets you plan to fuse. See every Adopt Me potion and how to get it.
  • Trade for Full Grown pets. Raising 16 pets takes a long time, so many players trade for pets that are already Full Grown, or for Neons.
  • Hatch the same pet. If your pet comes from an egg that is still in the game, hatching more of it gets you copies to raise. Each pet page shows which egg it hatches from and the odds.
  • Grab codes. Check the Adopt Me codes for free rewards.

Is a Mega Neon worth it?

For common pets, yes: it is the cheapest way to own something that looks rare. For Legendary pets, 16 copies is a big ask, which is exactly why Mega Neon Legendaries are among the most wanted pets in trading.

Questions

How many pets do you need for a Mega Neon in Adopt Me?

16 pets of the same kind. Four Full Grown pets make one Neon, and four Luminous Neons make one Mega Neon, so 4 x 4 = 16.

Can I make a Mega Neon from Neons that are not fully grown?

No. Each Neon has to reach Luminous, the last Neon age, before four of them can be fused into a Mega Neon.

Where do you make a Neon in Adopt Me?

In the Neon Cave. Bring four Full Grown pets of the same kind there and fuse them into one Neon.

Do you need four Fly Ride pets to get a Fly Ride Mega Neon?

No. Only one of the four pets you fuse needs Fly or Ride. The Neon keeps it, and later the Mega Neon does too.

How do I grow pets faster in Adopt Me?

Do your pet's tasks, and use Age-Up and Tiny Age potions, which you get free from rewards such as the friendship bar and pet age-ups. Trading for pets that are already Full Grown is the fastest way of all.

What are the Neon ages in Adopt Me?

Reborn, Twinkle, Sparkle, Flare, Sunshine and Luminous. They mirror the normal ages, from Newborn to Full Grown.
