About the Amethyst Penguin
You can hatch it today from the Gemstone Egg; the Gemstone Egg gives it about a 1.7% chance per hatch.
Like every pet it comes in 12 forms: normal, Neon and Mega Neon, each on its own, Ride, Fly or Fly Ride. A Mega Neon Fly Ride Amethyst Penguin takes 16 full grown Amethyst Penguins plus a Fly-A-Pet Potion (255 Robux) and a Ride-A-Pet Potion (130 Robux).
It learns 4 tricks as it grows, from Sit as a Newborn to Jump at Teen.

What it costs to hatch a Amethyst Penguin
| Egg | Chance per hatch | Eggs on average | For one Amethyst Penguin | For a Mega Neon (16) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1.7% | 60 | - | - |
Averages: luck varies a lot, and you could hatch it on the first try or much later. Free eggs from the Task Board and age-ups lower the real cost.
Tips for the Amethyst Penguin
- Hatch the Gemstone Egg: it gives the Amethyst Penguin the best odds (about 1.7% per hatch). Each one takes 5 tasks to hatch.
- You need 4 full grown Amethyst Penguins for one Neon, so keep aging the copies you get instead of trading them away early.
- Only one of the four pets you fuse needs Fly or Ride: the Neon (and later the Mega Neon) keeps it. That saves buying a potion for every copy.
- Fuse them in the Neon Cave, then raise four Luminous Neons for a Mega Neon: Amethyst Penguin x16 in total.
- Legendary pets are the rarest roll in every egg, so budget for a lot of hatches (see the cost table above).
