What to do if RIVALS is down

  1. Check the box above. If Roblox's status is not operational, every game is affected and you can only wait.
  2. Just updated? Servers restart after an update. Wait a few minutes and rejoin.
  3. Restart the Roblox app and check your internet connection.
  4. Try another server from the game's Servers tab if yours is full or stuck.

Live player counts come from Roblox's public games API and Roblox's status page. "Usual" is the typical player count at this hour over the last 8 days of our hourly checks.

RIVALS server status FAQ

Is RIVALS down right now?

The box at the top of this page checks live: it compares how many people are playing RIVALS right now with the usual number for this time of day, and shows Roblox's own status. A sudden drop of more than half usually means the game is down or restarting for an update. At our last recorded check, 137,963 people were playing.

Why can't I join RIVALS?

The usual reasons are: the game is restarting after an update (you see "shut down for an update"), Roblox itself is having an outage, the server you picked is full, or your own connection or app is the problem. If this page says RIVALS is up and Roblox is operational, restart the Roblox app, check your internet and try joining again.

Is RIVALS shutting down?

We have seen no official announcement that RIVALS is closing as of October 6, 2026. "Shutting down" rumours often spread when a game goes offline for an update. If a game were really closing, its developer would announce it in the game and on its official social channels.

Why does RIVALS say "shut down for an update"?

When the developer publishes an update, Roblox restarts the game's servers so everyone gets the new version. It usually takes a few minutes. Rejoin, and if it keeps happening, wait 10 to 15 minutes while the new servers start.

How do I know if all of Roblox is down or just RIVALS?

This page shows both. If Roblox's status is anything other than operational, the problem is Roblox itself and every game is affected. If Roblox is fine but players in RIVALS dropped sharply, the problem is with this game.
