Is 99 Nights in the Forest down right now?

The box at the top of this page checks live: it compares how many people are playing 99 Nights in the Forest right now with the usual number for this time of day, and shows Roblox's own status. A sudden drop of more than half usually means the game is down or restarting for an update. At our last recorded check, 123,737 people were playing.

The usual reasons are: the game is restarting after an update (you see "shut down for an update"), Roblox itself is having an outage, the server you picked is full, or your own connection or app is the problem. If this page says 99 Nights in the Forest is up and Roblox is operational, restart the Roblox app, check your internet and try joining again.

We have seen no official announcement that 99 Nights in the Forest is closing as of October 7, 2026. "Shutting down" rumours often spread when a game goes offline for an update. If a game were really closing, its developer would announce it in the game and on its official social channels.

When the developer publishes an update, Roblox restarts the game's servers so everyone gets the new version. It usually takes a few minutes. Rejoin, and if it keeps happening, wait 10 to 15 minutes while the new servers start.

This page shows both. If Roblox's status is anything other than operational, the problem is Roblox itself and every game is affected. If Roblox is fine but players in 99 Nights in the Forest dropped sharply, the problem is with this game.
